The American Cemetery (World War II)

Grateful for our help, the French gave this plot of land to the US and it's actually American soil within France. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and cared for.

This statue represents the youth who gave their lives in war. Behind this area is a wall inscribed with over 1,000 names of the missing.

Over 3,000 crosses and Stars of David are here. Many of the dead were shipped home. The Canadians and Brits have separate cemeteries. The British bury their fallen Soldiers where they died.
