Peregrine Cam

You can see the peregrine falcons of Providence, Rhode Island here:

https://asri.org/view/peregrine-cam.html?et_rid=1758178007&s_campaign=fastforward:newsletter   <-- Just highlight and then copy (control C) that whole thing starting at https and paste it (control V) into your browser (such as Google Chrome). I know you all know how to do that. Some of us have recalcitrant memories.

I think we are expecting baby falcons but they need to hatch first!

"By the way, did you know that peregrine falcons are the fastest animals on Earth? They can achieve speeds of more than 185 miles per hour when flight-diving while hunting. Pigeons near falcon nesting sites have taken to disguising themselves as drones." ~Theresa Hanafin, Boston Globe

I started this post on May 6 and here it is May 21. Where does the time go? In my case it goes to Worcester, Mass. I used to joke when I was working that I needed a wife. Well, here I am being Emily's wife!

It has been fun helping out with J. It's hard to see him cry because I'm not going to school (daycare) with him. And the days when I do get to pick him up, I love seeing the happy dance he does when he sees me. (It's just like the dance the penguin does on Happy Feet!)

Yes, I usually get him to move back. Here, I'm about to shut off the TV.

J's favorite fruit is "wiwi" aka kiwi. Yesterday I bribed him to come off the deck into the house by calling, "Do you want to do the hokey pokey?" This kid loves that dance. He gets anyone who is sitting down to stand up and dance with him as we sing it. He seems to favor his right foot, but we'll work on pointing out his left foot, lol.

We have fully instituted "kiss it better" medicine for boo boos and that's working well. Thank goodness we have not entered the realm of bandaids. (Did I say that out loud?) It's fun, lovely, snuggly, infuriating, and tiring taking care of/loving a two year and 3 month old. I wouldn't give it up for anything!

Right now (Friday) I have just heard a lovely Noon time carrilon from the church a block and a half away. I don't know if that's a Friday thing or an every day thing, but it was nice, albeit 60 seconds early, lol.

A Rare Sight: Lola (left) and Jackson snoozing together. This was one evening and Lola woke up as I reached for the camera.

One day I took J for a walk in the stroller, which he loved. I pushed him up a hill feeling a tad warm -- it was 88 F.! These are some pretty weeds we passed.

Last Saturday I made waffles for the first time! They were keto so there was almond flour and Swerve instead of sugar. I loved them, J. loved them, Emily why it couldn't be regular waffles ... I'll get her some frozen ones! The little waffle maker is cute and quick!

Bye for now. I hope you're having as good a time as I am having. 😎  Cheers!
