I have another whole bunch of pictures of the inside of Versailles -- but I'm too tired to download them tonight. I even had to replace the battery in my camera! Also to come: the American WWII Cemetery -- but that is really sad.
Here I am doing a 'Where's Waldo?' imitation. My face is very swollen due to heat and pollen. As you can see, there was a bit of a breeze.
The guards said I couldn't take their picture, but they didn't say I couldn't photo their backs! They were always in threes.
To the right, there was the measured sounds of gunshots. It was a 'military school.' I asked -- I don't usually head toward gunfire. (I knew it was some kind of firing range because the shots were too evenly spaced.)
I'm standing on the top of a zillion steps here.
We had to wait for 11 a.m. for the fountains to erupt.
For some reason, it repeated photos at the end. Just ignore them!
